DTVAC Donates to EMS Scholarship Fund

On Thursday, October 15^th Delaware Township Volunteer Ambulance Corp (DTVAC) proudly donated $500.00 to the Dr. Peter Favini Scholarship Fund. The check was distributed to the Monroe County Ambulance Association, the scholarship’s sponsoring agency at the 21^st Annual Pocono EMS Conference held at the new Kalahari Resort in Pocono Manor.

The scholarship, named for Dr. Peter Favini was established to help emergency medical technicians at the basic level advance their certification to the paramedic level. Dr. Favini currently serves in a voluntary capacity as the Medical Director for DTVAC. In that role, he establishes clinical policies and procedures, provides training, and ensures clinical competency of providers. Both Pike and Monroe County residents are eligible for the scholarship.
